For the third time, Ireland’s only Ethereum-focused hackathon and conference takes place at Dogpatch Labs, CHQ Building this May.
ETH Dublin strives to strengthen the Ethereum community in Ireland with a blend of expertly led talks and entrepreneurial challenges. So whether you’re curious or competent with onchain technology, expect a weekend of experimentation and creation, with featured guests including Ethereum Co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Avara Founder, Stani Kulechov.
Caolán Walsh, Co-founder of ETH Ireland, said: “Our event has two paths: a conference for those curious about decentralised technology and a hackathon for those already using it. We are committed to priming Ireland for on-chain social impact benefits and invite anyone with an inquisitive mind to participate somehow.”
Conference programming focuses on pinpointing the essence of Ethereum, with discussions on application layer technologies, modern governance mechanisms, and securing the blockchain with staking. With a balanced mix of solo presentations, panels, and workshops across future-oriented topics, anyone attending can tap into the bigger picture of Ethereum’s evolution, which includes Decentralised Finance (DeFi), Real World Assets (RWA), and public goods.
Pete Townsend, Managing Director at Techstars, added: “You might think this is just another tech conference, but it’s so much more. Much like a literary festival, this is a public celebration of our on-chain potential. Think of it like a build-a-thon with a specialised focus group running in parallel. It’s a must-attend for builders, founders, and curious minds exploring where decentralised tech fits into the next wave of innovation.”
Beyond talks and tech, ETH Dublin 2025 will also debut the Collective Forest of Possibility — a collaborative exhibition that weaves Irish folklore with Ethereum values to explore what decentralised, joyful infrastructure can look like.
Tessa Maneewong, Exhibit Curator at ETH Dublin 2025, commented: “Rooted in Irish lore, Ethereum’s values, and the spirit of defensive acceleration, this exhibition is a collective effort between technologists, researchers, builders, artists, and designers to co-create an immersive cultural experience that deepens builder engagement and invites new audiences into the Ethereum ecosystem. The experience features open-source tools, interactive demos, meaningful artifacts, and speculative art—designed to offer a glimpse at what a decentralised, regenerative future could feel like. Through story, space, and participation, we’ll explore themes like decentralisation, harm reduction, information resilience, and digital privacy in a refreshing and thought-provoking perspective.”
With hackers building alongside artists, researchers, and activists, the weekend promises a lively fusion of code and craic — and a clear invitation to help shape a more regenerative, on-chain future.
